For those of us already working at Edo, the answer to this question is obvious! But, for those individuals scrolling through job ad after job ad it can be hard to discern what the difference is from one agency to the next.
I could write a list of benefits that would be added to your salary to make what’s known nowadays as a ‘competitive package’, but the 25 days holiday (minimum), employer matched pension scheme, childcare vouchers and well stocked fruit bowl are a given here. Like most other digital agencies, Edo gather around the big kitchen table at 4.30pm every Friday for a well earnt beer / glass of vino / G&T / San Pellegrino to reflect on the week, share news and unwind. As you’d expect, we have a summer and Christmas party each year where much merriment and dancing generally occurs.
However, there are some other benefits of working at Edo that are worth pointing out, as not all of them are commonplace amongst the industry we work in.
Recently we’ve started to offer a nine day working fortnight to everyone in the team. And before you wonder, no - that doesn’t mean ten days work squashed into nine. It simply means you have the option to take every other Friday off!
This is just one way of working flexibly at Edo - if you have an idea you’d like to bring to us, we’re all ears. Many of the team moved to Bristol to improve their work-life balance, and we want to help them achieve that goal.
In our People Team we have a dedicated Mental Health First Aider and include wellbeing awareness and skills within our Learning & Development plan. The team are also encouraged to take a longer lunch break so they can go for a run / go to the gym / get some fresh air, and every Friday we have lunchtime yoga. Our company values ‘Open’ and ‘Positive’ are indeed written on the wall, but they are also lived values amongst the whole team.
A focus on social good
At the heart of everything we do is the desire to want to contribute positively to society. We are fussy about the clients we work with - we need to believe in what they do and genuinely want to work with them. This attitude is the same internally. We’re a nice bunch of people who care about each other and love living in the South West.
Fundamentally, it’s caring that makes Edo a great place to work. We care about the quality of our work, the place we work in and about making a positive difference.
As Edo continues to grow, we are looking for like-minded individuals to join us in Bristol and bring their own set of skills to the team. Whether you’re an experienced User Experience Consultant, front or back end Developer, Account or Project manager or simply looking for your next challenge in the world of Digital, then we always want to hear from you.
At the moment, we’re recruiting for these specific roles:
If you are interested in joining the team, please email your CV to firstname.lastname@example.org along with a cover letter including in it why you want to work with Edo and what you can contribute to the team and culture.
Please note, we only want to hear from individuals, not recruitment agencies.
